Magen David Adom, the American Red Cross equivalent in Israel, in the
International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
For more than 70 years, Magen David Adom (MDA) has served those in need
under the red shield of David. Nonetheless, MDA has been denied full
membership in the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent
(Federation) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and is
relegated to observer status without a vote.
